What Counts as a Short-Term Rental
Short-term means 1 to 30 days at a daily rate, no multi-month commitment. Most short-term bookings are far shorter than 30 days: a single show date, a Friday-to-Sunday festival run, a one-night event, or a week-long regional stint. You pay per day, the coach and driver arrive for the booked window, and there’s no lease contract to sign or term to fill.
That flexibility fits buyers who aren’t planning a tour. A band testing the road with one out-of-town date doesn’t need to lease a coach for months. A production company shooting for two days doesn’t either. A corporate client running a single launch event books the coach for the day and returns it the next morning. Short-term rental hands the same Prevost coach, the same CDL driver, and the same 24/7 dispatch to a one-off booking that a touring act gets for a season. The booking includes:
- A custom Prevost coach on an H3-45 or X3-45 chassis
- A CDL driver, vetted through the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- 24/7 dispatch for the booked window
- Pickup and drop off in any major US city
- Tour trucking on request for gear and equipment
- EMC membership plus full DOT and FMCSA compliance
How that prices out depends on whether you book a single day or a full weekend.

Daily and Weekend Pricing
Daily rates open at $180 a day for a Premium coach and reach $320 a day for a larger double-slide build. A weekend booking is simply the daily rate across the nights you hold the coach, Friday through Sunday usually billing as the days the coach is out and the driver is on. There’s no separate weekend surcharge; the rate tracks the coach class and the number of days, not the calendar.
Three coaches mark the spread:
- Atlas , Premium, Prevost H3-45, 10 bunks, single slide, rear lounge with sofa sleeper: $180/day
- Outlaw , Elite, Prevost X3-45, 12 bunks, double slide, master suite: $250/day
- Thunder , Premium, Prevost H3-45, 12 bunks, double slide, rear lounge: $320/day
Past the day rate, a short booking still carries fuel, the driver’s lodging if it runs overnight, and venue parking, which runs from roughly $20 an hour downtown to a flat fee elsewhere. For a single local date the extras stay small. The shorter the booking, the more the day rate is the whole story.

What a Day or Weekend Coach Is For
Single-event bookings make up most short-term demand, and the coach does more than move people. It works as a green room at the venue, a private space for the act before and after the set, or a base for a crew working a one-day shoot. Common short-term uses:
- A single show date, out-of-town gig, or one-off festival slot
- A weekend festival run across two or three days
- A music video or film shoot needing a mobile green room and crew base
- A one-night corporate event, product launch, or road show
- A sporting event or appearance where talent needs a private space on site
- A short regional run before an act commits to a full tour
Whatever the occasion, the coach arrives inspected and fueled with a driver who handles the route, so the booking party shows up and uses the space. That’s the appeal of renting short: no commitment, full service for the window you need.

Short-Term Rental a vs. Lease
Rent short, lease long, the two cover opposite ends of the same fleet. Short-term rental runs 1 to 30 days at a daily rate, with no term to fill, which suits single events and acts not yet touring enough to justify more. A lease runs 1 to 12 months at a reduced rate with a guaranteed coach, which suits acts on the road for whole seasons.
The crossover is about volume. Pay the daily rate for a handful of dates a year and renting wins easily; you’d never fill a lease term. Once an act is touring multiple months, the daily math flips and a lease costs less per day while locking in the coach. For anyone whose answer is a single date or a weekend, short-term rental is the right call, no contract required.

Nationwide Pickup
Pickup reaches all 48 contiguous states. The fleet stages mainly in Nashville and the Mid-Atlantic, but a short-term coach is positioned wherever the date is: Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, and any other major city. For a one-off, that means the coach comes to the event rather than the booking party routing around the fleet.
What’s Included in Every Rental
Each rental ships with the same core inclusions, regardless of class or lease length. Six factors separate Knights Coaches from the broader entertainer coach market.
Prevost-only fleet
Every coach runs on the H3-45 or X3-45 chassis. No MCI, no Setra, no van conversions. The platform is the industry default for overnight touring because it absorbs 12-plus hour driving days without the suspension fatigue that hits cheaper builds after a few seasons.
24/7 dispatch
Tours break down at 3 AM. Routes change mid-leg when a venue cancels. Our line answers either call in minutes.
EMC member
Membership in the Entertainer Motorcoach Council carries safety, insurance, and service standards that exceed DOT minimums.
CDL drivers with entertainer experience
A clean license alone doesn’t qualify someone to drive a coach with 12 sleeping passengers through a winter mountain pass. Three years on entertainer-specific routes does.
48-state coverage
Pickup and drop in any major US city: Nashville, LA, NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Las Vegas, Denver, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, Washington DC, and dozens more.
Same-driver continuity on leases
Multi-month lease clients keep the same driver when scheduling allows. Booking starts with a short four-step process.
